May we all always be learners and students. I certainly am. And I've been chasing the elusive great shot since the mid 1960s.

I also like the visual impact in the third one. To me, the first one needs more contrast, and more brightness in the highlights. Was the metering thrown off? This looks like something that automatic exposure might do with a white flower. Or just missing the exposure in manual, for that matter.

The second one, while not sharp, is nevertheless interesting. It seems as though it might serve as a useful pattern for fabric, as in a scarf, or some such.
